Talking To Yourself

I was in Iowa (NOT running for President, ahem!) recently to speak at an annual fundraiser for a community radio station in Waterloo. The station aims its programming to specifically target African-Americans living in that area.

During my talk I spoke about my coaching experiences and generally blamed my parents for my interest in public radio. At the end of my address, I recommended the 300+ people in attendance ask themselves these three questions:

1. What is NOT being done that really needs to be done?
2. What can I do about it?
3. When can WE get started?

...then I advised them to "follow through, follow through, follow through."
I hope they heard me.
