I can't believe I roped myself into this.
Last year, I had the strength to say no. And when KW member Michelle Rafter again fired up her May Blogathon at WordCount, I was more than happy to repeat Knowledgewebb's sponsorship of this wonderful chance to encourage bloggers to post 31 times in 31 days. After all, it's a big focus of the digital media world our training site is all over.

But as far as participating? Ha! I boast as many excuses as the next gal. Because my personal blog is in transition and until I get a clear vision, I don't find it prudent to head off in a deliberate direction. (How's that for saying nothing with big words?) And there's the blunt "I don't have time." I have job responsibilities, you know. Deadlines and commitments. What to leave in, what to leave out.
Ahem, Sturgeon. Marketing for Knowledgewebb IS your job. As we teach in our lessons and with our encouragement, social media is part of today's business scene. Not to mention when Amy Webb gives her 10 Steps to a Tech Savvy You webinar, she suggests we build a sandbox and play.
My husband, however, knows how to strike a nerve: I justified buying a Nikon D90 last fall because I wanted to learn to shoot and edit video. (Yes, I could do that with my iPhone if I weren't a camera snob from birth.) He simply asked where he could find my first production online.
I should have slapped him. Apparently more killer show choir performance photos weren't enough. He's insisting I get out of my comfort zone.
But I know when I'm beaten ... and wrong. I told Michelle to count me in. I will make my best attempt to post a Good Stuff sighting every day in May, and I hope you enjoy the conversation. If not, at least come back for the smart ass remarks. And maybe even an amateur video before it's all over.
